Hospice of Franklin County is offering bereavement support groups for adults in the community who have experienced the death of a loved one at least three months. Groups meet weekly in Franklin County from September through October. A group for people who have lost a spouse or partner will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Sept. 12 through Oct. 17. A general grief support group will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 15 through Oct. 20. It is recommended that the death have happened at least three months before the start of the group. Free Reiki sessions: Saturday mornings. Breast cancer patients and survivors in Franklin County are eligible to receive free individual Reiki sessions, thanks to a grant from Rays of Hope. Reiki is described as a healing energy therapy, which can help provide relaxation and energy, decrease pain or anxiety and promote physical, mental and emotional health.
