10:39 p.m. — Disturbance at the Beacon House for Men, on Beacon Street, where a female is on the scene and believed to be intoxicated and being belligerent; she is out back, and there is a female out front, with a vehicle who has been trying to keep her from driving; field sobriety test was given, and the female had some alcohol today, and can’t stay at the program, she was given a courtesy ride to Cumberland Farms on Federal Street.
11:04 p.m. — Report of a light gray vehicle on Plain Road near the White Eagle Polish Picnic Ground, where the caller says a male and female are standing outside of the car, and the male was reportedly yelling, screaming and punching the vehicle; officers located them, and found no altercation between the two; the male was upset because they ran out of gas; the vehicle was pushed from the roadway, with a note left, and the two were given a transport to McDonald’s to wait for a ride. The male states he will fix the car in the morning.
12:41 p.m. — Reporting person from Meadow Road believes that somebody may have entered her garage area earlier today; she discovered what she thinks is a man’s boot print on her trash bag; officer reports there were no signs of forced entry and that no crime had been committed; the officer check the area surrounding the home and found nothing suspicious.
1:23 p.m. — Officer on a detail was approached by a person reporting there was one or two people poking around an old burned down barn; they thought it was suspicious; officer spoke with a male on the scene, and he and the land owner have an agreement that involves him helping to clean up the property; no problems or issues found.
3:41 p.m. — Caller from Greenfield Road states that he mailed a check to an involved person, and it should have arrived at her house no later than 8/26, and it has yet to arrive; the reporting person didn’t want to speak to any officer, and just wanted to advise in case there is any mail theft occurring in the near future.
4:15 p.m. — Walk-in reports there is a big piece of rock in the road at the Avenue A and Third Street location, where it appears as though something fell off a truck; officer checking and advised dispatch that it isn’t a hazard, and to leave a message for the DPW during regular business hours.
4:50 p.m. — Caller from area of Seventh Street states she was involved in a two-car accident, but with no injuries reported, and no hazards; both cars pulled off in the St. Kaz parking lot; officer found damage was under $1,000, and they exchanged information; the officer will complete an incident report.
6:05 p.m. — A reporting person states that they is vulgar vandalism all over the new handicapped swing that was just installed; officer to investigate.
6:08 p.m. — Reporting person states there was a pickup truck filled with trash that pulled off in the area of the power lines, a half mile north on Lake Pleasant Road, and the reporting person believes they are dumping trash out of their truck; caller was unable to give dispatch a vehicle description or plate, and stated this occurred over 15 minutes ago; officer was advised.
7:05 p.m. — Burglary or breaking and entering, reported on H Street where the caller says she just arrived home and her screen was ripped off the window, and her dog was outside. The reporting person believes someone broke in while she was gone; officer responded, but the suspect wasn’t on the scene, and there is no one in the home; officer searched the house and nothing is missing; incident number given.
8:39 p.m. — Caller from Millers Falls Road states that a rear seal on his truck blew and there is two and a half to three gallons of motor oil in he break down lane; Fire Department was notified.
2:22 p.m. — Officer took a call of a larceny, and an officer responded to East River Street to speak with the reporting person who is missing prescription narcotics, and a gaming system; report taken and the reporting person will get a detailed list completed for the officer.
4:35 p.m. — A known subject was seen walking on East Main Street and he was taken into custody for a warrant; arrested was Steven Thomas Roberts, 25, of Russ Street, Orange, on the default warrant.
12:25 a.m. — Caller from Burger King on Bernardston Road reports his mountain type bike was stolen from this location; unknown brand but it is red and black, and he last saw it at 8 p.m.. Report taken.
12:37 a.m. — Caller from Maple Street states he saw a van with a flashing lights, and a male opened a hydrant in the area, and then drove off; the reporting person is unsure if it is the DPW, or if someone decided to open a hydrant; officer attempted to reach DPW via radio, and the DPW worker called the station to advise they are in the area of Maple Street, flushing hydrants; officers were advised, and the reporting person was called back to put his mind at ease.
11:44 a.m. — Accident at the Interstate 91 rotary where the caller says there are injuries; both Medcare units on scene, and one person was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center; one vehicle towed; under investigation.
3:58 p.m. — Caller from Silver Street advises that while driving down he road, with her kids in the vehicle, a woman screamed at her; she followed the person to the gas station, and they had a verbal argument; dispatch took the complaint of a woman yelling at cars.
4:38 p.m. — Reporting person would like to speak about someone who deliberately tried to cross in front of her car to get struck by it; it may have occurred on Arch Street; the reporting person wanted the police aware if the “scam,” is tried again.
6:16p.m. — Caller reporting a suspicious van driver, and possible intoxicated driver, was passed out at the light on Canada Hill, and is now at the Stop and Shop lot and is parked in the back row, but no one is in the vehicle; officer located the operator, and found he had slurred speech and his pupils were constricted; field sobriety test done, but failed the nine step and turn, and the one leg stand, the operator claimed to have cancer, and loss of feeling in his left leg; the technical test resulted in 0.000, and no sign of drug use; the officer advised the operator that he wasn’t safe to drive in his current condition; the officer provided a courtesy transport to Turners Falls.
6:18 p.m. — Accident reported at the rotary, two vehicles involved, officer and Fire Department on scene; no fluids, and cleared; Medcare reported the two-car accident but unknown if any injuries; report taken after an investigation.
6:30 p.m. — Caller from Greenfield Acres on Congress Street reporting two calls today from the IRS scam; services rendered.
6:43 p.m. — Caller reports hitting a parked vehicle with her vehicle by the Town Hall on Court Square; information was exchanged; the parked vehicle was unoccupied; the Prius operator struck the parked Honda Civic; damage to the front end of the Prius, and rear drivers side bumper of the Civic.
7 p.m. — Officer at Green Fields Market on Main Street to help with identifying a shoplifter, for a trespass process.
7:11 p.m. — Despondent person reported on Hope Street where the caller requested to speak with an officer regarding narcotic issue with his son; he is in emotional distress; officer went to the address and spoke to both people about marijuana concerns.
7:51 p.m. — Report of a fire in a structure on Fairview Street, the reporting person says her stove/broiler is on fire, and she did see flames at one point; she was advised to evacuate the building and wait outside; Fire Department responded and reported all was under control; it was a stove malfunction; the fire was put out before the Fire Department arrival.
7:53 p.m. — Disturbance reported at Dollar General on Federal Street where the two involved males were in an altercation; the two were separated on officer’s arrival, and they were advised of options.
8:50 p.m. — Caller from Lilac Court complaining about on going construction noise from this area, and stated her peace is being disturbed; officer spoke with the reporting person and advised that she needed to address the concern with the Leyden Woods management office in regards to the construction work, and she needs to ask them to take into consideration the late hours at which the contractors are working, and the noise that the construction generates.
5:02 a.m. — Officer checking on a blue garage behind the town hall on First Street, light on inside; officer cleared when he found the building was secure.
5:09 a.m. — Motor vehicle violation citation was given a motor vehicle stop at Canal and Third Street ; the citation was given to an operator for stop sign violation at Third and Avenue A.
6 a.m. — Officers on Congress Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Enrique Cintron, 46, of South Main Street, Orange, on a warrant from Orange District Court, and also charged with resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and attempting to commit a crime, to wit, larceny of a motor vehicle.
