In response to the August 2 editorial, “Fix Funding Before Adding Charters,” I have two questions to which I have yet to receive answers:
How much state funding does the school district “lose” from students who choose to attend private schools instead of public schools in the district?
Does a public school system acknowledge a tipping point where it can no longer afford to operate a specific school when enrollment falls below that point?
