MONTPELIER, Vt. — The Vermont Public Service Board says it will live-stream a hearing next month on Vermont Gas Systems’ pipeline project and allow members of the press to attend.
Earlier this week the board announced that the Aug. 4 hearing wouldn’t take place in front of the public.
The hearing is for legal arguments on whether regulators should allow the company to build its pipeline through a public park in Hinesburg. The board, which regulates Vermont Gas and other utilities, had raised concerns about disruptive behavior at other proceedings related to the pipeline.
In a release Friday, the board said the press would be allowed to attend and a live video and audio stream of the proceedings would be broadcast.
The pipeline is currently under construction between the town of Colchester and Addison County.
