5:06 p.m. — Suspicious activity at Swift Cleaners on Main Street but then switched to the police station where one was arrested and one summoned; arrested was Cassandra M. Carter, 26, of L Street Turners Falls, charged with operating with suspended license, possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and intimidating a witness; the 60-year-old male from Chapman Street is being summoned for conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession of a Class B drug.
11:05 p.m. — Reporting person states that while he was riding his bike down the road on Chapman Street, a car had sped by and the reporting person yelled to the driver, “slowdown,” and the reporting person then states the driver turned around and raced back to his location; the driver yelled, “what did you say to me,” and then pushed him to the ground; the reporting person states he doesn’t need an ambulance; plate number given but without last three numbers; reporting person described it as an old Ford police car-looking vehicle; after some investigation the driver’s mom states her son has her vehicle; services rendered.
Orange, June 22
10:30 a.m. — Caller from West River Street reports two bikes stolen overnight, they were last seen against the house at about 8 p.m. ; one is a mountain bike, teal colored, with pink lettering; the other is a light orange NEXT BMX; report taken.
10:44 a.m. — Reporting person on Cheney Street claims there is a bunch of trash and garbage there and the smell is overtaking the caller’s property; officer checking the property , but no piles of trash were located.
11:21 a.m. — Female came into the station advising she believes someone is breaking and entering, into her vehicle; she has had problems with the rear driver’s side window that won’t stay up, a crack on the gear shifts, the vehicles bucks when she drives and the windows click when she hits the window; she stated that nothing has been taken from the vehicle; she was advised it would be recorded.
2:30 p.m. — Caller from East River Street requests an officer to view damage to a fence where he has a garden; the caller showed a section of fence that he says was struck by a lawn mower; he said this is a continual problem; he was advised to speak with management at the complex and the response would be on record.
5 p.m. — Caller to the station complaining that there is a dumpster in the road on Mechanic Street; officer spoke with those working there and it will be moved.
7:50 p.m. — Resident from Holtshire Road came to the station to report they were a victim of a scam and all the money they had in the bank is gone; report taken, and officer to investigate.
8 p.m. — Caller report that their neighbor on Stone Valley Road is burning something that has a horrible smell, and it is coming through their windows; the Orange Fire Department was advised and responded.
12:34 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Bank Row near Main Street where the caller reports that she can hear footsteps above her, on the roof of her building; officer checked, but no one found.
1:08 a.m. — General disturbance reported from Cumberland Farms on Federal Street where the caller says he looked out of his window and saw a group of roughly four people physically beating up on someone; the reporting person said this was occurring outside the Cumberland Farms and people were still attacking the person while the male was still on the phone; officers on scene services rendered.
10:58 a.m. — Larceny reported at the Winslow Building on Wells Street where a backpack was reported stolen; officer sent, and services rendered.
11:35 a.m. — Accident with injuries reported at High and Beacon streets; officers and Medcare responded, as did Fire Department; report issued.
4:52 p.m. — Disturbance on Chapman Street; officers sent, and one person taken into custody; arrested was Alice M. Fisher, 32, of Chapman Street Greenfield, charged with assault and battery on a family or household member.
6:35 p.m. — Report from Montague Police of a vehicle operating erratically at Mountain and Montague City roads; they said they had a female walk-in to their station to report the almost head-on collision, and the reporting person was able to see the female operator texting; incident happened about 10 to 15 minutes ago; officer here spoke to the reporting person about concerns with texting and driving, but then advised Montague due to the involved car was registered in Montague.
7:31 p.m. — Officers on Wells and Allen streets to serve a warrant, arrested was William P. Breor Jr. of Columbia Avenue, Orange, on the warrant.
8:19 p.m. — Caller from Forbes Court reports she witnessed two males engaged in a physical altercation; the caller screamed at them to break it up; at this time, one male grabbed a female; caller is concerned for the safety of neighborhood children. Officer sent and the situation was discussed to a conclusion.
8:50 p.m. — Dispatch received a 911 hang-up call from area of the Salvation Army on Chapman Street; state then advises a female caller reporting that she is being harassed by a male that keeps driving back and fourth; officer advised her of options and the same is having issues with another female requesting her to fight.
9:46 p.m. — Disturbance on Hope Street where the caller says she can hear a female yelling and screaming at another individual, but is unable to see the other person; officers sent, and the females were being loud; they were told to keep down the noise, and to go inside.
10:36 p.m. — Caller from Taylor’s Tavern on Main Street reports $500 being stolen from his wallet and the restaurant office; an involved male came into the lobby to fill out a report, and an officer will speak with the male.
2:14 p.m. — Caller advising that there are things missing from their business at the Playground Skate Shop on Third Street and the caller thinks someone broke in; she isn’t there now but her partner is; officer sent, and the reporting person will bring a list of items missing.
4:18 p.m. — Caller from Fourth Street reports an assault just took place, and the call was transferred to Medcare; officer requesting Gill Police to assist due to cruiser difficulties; the patient is in the care of Medcare and is en route to Baystate Franklin Medical Center; officers will follow up with her when she is discharged; situation under investigation.
5:51 p.m. — Caller from Federal Street in Millers Falls has a tenant that he wants to leave the house; the caller was advised of options.
6:36 p.m. — Caller from Mountain Road in Greenfield reports his wife was nearly struck head on by a red Subaru Impreza near the General Pierce Bridge in Greenfield; the caller stated his wife believes the operator was texting while driving; the information was given to Greenfield Police.
6:52 p.m. — Motorist on Swamp Road reports a train passed through the area and she now smell something like an odor of burning rubber and quite a bit of smoke in the area; Shelburne Control was requested to tone out Montague Center Fire Department.
9:21 p.m. — Breaking and entering, and/or burglary on X Street where the caller reports his residence was broken into, with the front door kicked in, between 7 p.m. last night and 9 p.m. tonight; there are items missing; an officer arrived and spoke with the reporting person and a report was completed.
12:10 a.m. — Probation requesting a check on a male on Packard Road as he didn’t check in with them tonight; officer sent, and there was no answer and no signs of anyone at the house; probation was notified.
