Corbin Blight pitched his first complete game of the season and struck out five to lead Greg’s Auto Body/Polish American Citizens Club to a 4-1 win over East Longmeadow in a NEYSA Sandy Koufax Baseball League game Tuesday evening at Headmaster’s Field in Deerfield.
Blight, whose only blemish was a seventh-inning earned run, also supported his own cause with two singles, an RBI and two runs scored.
Matthew Gardner smacked two singles and drove in a pair of runs and Ryan Antes and Thomas Graves added singles for Greg’s/PACC, which played on its sixth consecutive day and won its fourth in a row.
Frontier (8-4) travels to Ludlow Thursday.
Suburban 14U
Mohawk erupted for seven runs in the fifth inning to erase a 5-0 deficit and went on to defeat Frontier, 8-5, in a Suburban Softabll League 14-and-under game Tuesday night at Zabek Field in South Deerfield.
Grace Ward stroked a two-run single, Isis Moon and Destiny Tobin both had RBI singles Jocelyn Crowningshield walked to force in a run during the decisive rally for Mohawk (2-1).
Moon and Tobin both finished with three hits, and Crowningshield added two hits in support of winning pitcher Lily Lesieur, who recorded eight strikeouts.
Natalie Denkiewicz homered and Maddie Fifield singled and drove in two runs for Frontier (2-2).
Mohawk hosts Westfield Thursday night at 6. Frontier entertains Greenfield tonight at 6.
Greenfield Co-Rec
Craig Bassett went 5-for-5 to lead Turners Falls Pizza House over Hot-L Warren, 18-12, in Greenfield Co-Rec Softball League action Tuesday night at Greenfield Middle School.
Lisa Murphy added four hits for TF Pizza.
John Ollari bashed out three home runs and two doubles and Lea Appel had two hits for Hot’l.
• At Hillside Park, Jenn Murphy was 4-for-5 with a homer and Beck’s Automotive cruised to a five-inning, 28-6 win over Riff’s North.
Jess Bartlett was 3-for-4 with a triple while Kelly Sadler (triple) and Ashley Parker both added two hits for Beck’s.
Tim Belanger went 3-for-3 with a double and Morghan Orrell added two hits for Riff’s.
PV Women’s
Bev Tatro had two hits and drove in five runs to lead Ashfield to a 4½-inning, 19-3 victory over the Colrain Misfits in a Pioneer Valley Women’s Softball League game Tuesday night in Ashfield.
Meg Burrington added two hits and four RBI, Sam Davis ripped four hits and knocked in a run, and Sarah Crowell collected three his and two RBIs for Ashfield
Ashley Pierce doubled for Colrain.
• At Cricket Field in Buckland, Cassy Jouannet went 4-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs as Conway downed the Buckland Brew Crew, 14-9.
Nelly Wilkins went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs and Samantha Habel had three hits and three RBIs for Conway.
Jess Hicks was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBI, and Sherri Moffatt added three hits for the Brew Crew.
Edge Hill Men’s League
Brett Sallee and Charlie Plesnar were the respective first-half division winners in the Edge Hill Men’s Golf League Tuesday in Ashfield.
Sallee captured the A Division with 23½ points. He also carded a 32 for the nightly low net.
Matt Vandale swept the rest of the nightly prizes, grabbing top point quota at plus-2, low gross with a 38, and closest to the pin no No. 8 (50 feet, 2 inches).
Plesnar’s 28 points were best in the B Division.
Tom Lively had the best nightly point quota at plus-6 and carded a 32 for low net. Tom Miner shot a 41 for low gross.
Matt’s Men’s League
Ken Adams and Jeff Miller earned a playoff spot Tuesday by winning the first half of the Matt’s Men’s Golf League at Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club in Turners Falls.
Adams and Miller won the first half with 36 points, followed by Bob Samson and Jim Bassett with 34½ points and Wayne DeGrenier and Andy Wyngowski with 31 points.
Adams swept the weekly awards with a low gross of 36 and a low net of 28.
Jon Snow was closest to the pin on No. 7 (4-2). Jon Hall was closest on No. 9 (6-4).
Mark K Memorial Mixed
Jon Snow, James Fowler, Rod Duda and Dick Thomas combined on a low-net of 55 in the Mark K Memorial Mixed Golf League on Monday at Oak Ridge Golf Club in Gill.
Butch Trinque, Tim Richter, Ron Aleman and Dave McCarthy were second at 58.
DRIVE Boys’ varsity
Keaton Warren scored 15 points to lead Frontier over Greenfield, 58-35, in a DRIVE Boys’ Varsity Basketball League game Monday night at Messser Gymnasium in Northfield.
Connor Joy led Greenfield with 14 points.
• Elsewhere, Eli Lombardi’s 16 points helped Brattleboro, Vt., defeat Twin Valley, Vt., 43.38.
Brett Conley’s 12 points paced Twin Valley.
• Also, Lundgren Honda received a 2-0 forfeit win over the Warriors.
DRIVE Summer Camp
The DRIVE Hoops Summer Basketball Clinic will take place from July 18 through July 22 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Greenfield High School.
The clinic is open for boys and girls ages 7 through 14 and will be run by GHS girls’ coach John Hickey and Hopkins Academy boys’ coach Angelo Thomas, as well player-coaches from GHS.

Orange Rec signups
The Orange Recreation Association Basketball Clinic is taking registrations for boys and girls entering grades 4 through 9 this fall.
There are two sessions being offered, the first from July 11 through 15, and the second from July 18 through 22, each running from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Only 40 players will be allotted per session. The fee includes breakfast, lunch, T-shirt and five days of basketball skills, drills, scrimmages and fun.
Directed by Helene Holmes, the program is held at the Fisher Hill School in Orange, from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. each weekday.

Erving Rec soccer camps
The Erving Recreation Commission, in conjunction with the Challenger British Soccer Camp program, will hold numerous soccer games at Erving Elementary School from July 18-22.
The camps offer the following: Mini Soccer (ages 3 to 6, from 8 to 9 a.m., $85), Half Day (ages 7 to 14, 9 a.m. until noon, $145), Full Day (ages 8 to 14, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., $190) and High School (ages 13 to 18, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., $100).

Hopkins coaching openings
Hopkins Academy is looking for anyone interested in coaching for the fall season.
The school has openings for varsity, junior varsity and middle school girls’ soccer, varsity, junior varsity and middle school boys’ soccer, varsity golf and varsity cross country.

Top Notch camps
Registrations are now being accepted for Top-Notch Camps’ basketball and soccer camps taking place in July at Frontier Regional School in South Deerfield.
Both camps are open to players ages 7 through 13.
The Top-Notch Soccer Camp will run from July 18 through 22 and takes place daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The camp is run by Cushing Academy girls’ soccer coach Melanie Stier.
The Top-Notch Basketball Camps will run on two separate weeks in July. The first session runs from July 11 through 15 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day, and the second session runs from July 25 through 29 from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The camp is run by Frontier boys’ basketball coach Ben Barshefsky.

The Pioneer Valley Pole Vault School in Bernardston is open by appointment for individual and group lessons through the fall with negotiable rates.
