MONTAGUE — The Franklin County Radio Control Club is holding a day of flying model planes, helicopters, and drones at the Turners Falls Airport for the sixth annual Father’s Day Model Fun Fly on Sunday.

The event will feature a model plane airshow, a drone race and demonstrations from national model plane champions from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Montague Fire Department is supplying food.

“Every year we try to add to the event to bring more of our hobby to the community,” said David Korpiewski, vice president of the Franklin County Radio Control Club.

Since the event started six years ago, the attendance has grown from about 300 to more than 1,000 people, said Korpiewski.
