SHELBURNE — With no contests on Monday’s annual town election ballot, voter turnout was light in Shelburne with at least 62 voters, but all who ran unopposed were elected.
Town Clerk Joseph Judd said that Kim Levitch, who was running as a write-in candidate for a five-year term on the Housing Authority, received 12 write-in votes.
Other empty spaces on the ballot are for a five-year Planning Board seat, a five-year Recreation Committee seat and a three-year term on the Mohawk Trail Regional School District school board. John Payne received the most write-in votes for the open school board seat, with six votes, but it wasn’t known Monday night if he would take the position.
The following incumbents were re-elected to three-year terms unless otherwise noted: Selectboard Robert A. Manners; Town Clerk Joseph Judd (one-year); assessor James T. Richardson; moderator Sylvia M. Smith (one year); tree warden James T. Richardson (one year); two seats on the Shelburne Free Public Library board of trustees Judith E. Kulp and Launie M. York.
The three constables won re-election to their respective three-year terms: Michael P. Barnes, Laura L. Manners and James G. Stacy.
