Michael Korenewsky, 49, died on October 3, 2026, after a long illness.

Born on February 28, 1977, Michael built his life around hard work and the people closest to him. He graduated from Franklin Technical School in 1995 and went on to work as a plumber.

Michael’s family was an important part of his life. He is remembered by his daughter, Kiera Korenewsky; his ex-wife Shana Korenewsky; his parents, Fred and Susan Korenewsky and Jean and David Thompson; his sisters, Rebecca Korenewsky, Kimberly Korenewsky, and Jessica Briere; his brother, Fred Korenewsky Jr., 4 nieces and a nephew; and his dog, Harleigh.

Outside of work, Michael found enjoyment in fishing with his daughter, gardening, working on his truck, riding ATVs and his Harley, and time outdoors.

In remembering Michael Korenewsky, those who knew him recall a man whose life was rooted in his work, his family, and the simple pastimes he enjoyed. His memory remains with all who shared in his life and knew him through the years.

There will be a celebration of life on November 1 at 1p.m. at the North Hadley Congregational Church Hall with Mike’s family and close friends.
