Chrislyn Newton, a science educator at Fisher Hill Elementary School in Orange, was awarded a Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Award by the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation in recognition of her passion for science, creativity in the classroom and commitment to students.
