I believe there is only one candidate in Greenfield’s mayoral race that truly cares about the average people and what this town needs. Brickett Allis has been involved in the Governance of Greenfield for almost 20 years and has been on the side of the average citizen for those years.

Brickett asks the unpopular questions about how our taxes are spent. He focuses on what Greenfield needs and not the frivolous things that we don’t need. He voted for a ‘big box’ store; something that would have kept, and brought into town, many shoppers as well as adding to the tax base.

It’s incredible the number of Greenfield residents I meet in Hinsdale, Hadley, and Northampton. For those who have the financial means to own a car, fill it with gas, and strap the kids in, not having such a shopping choice in Greenfield is no big deal.

For others, it IS a big deal. Having to beg a ride, or take a bus, especially with small children, is a major undertaking. Brickett “gets” the struggle many of us face.

On Nov. 5 I hope you will join me by writing in Brickett Allis, 300 Wells St. on the ballot and filling in the bubble next to the write-in candidate line. Greenfield needs a mayor that understands their citizens and, in my opinion, Brickett is that person 100%.
