Greenfield

Loyal Order of the Moose Club in Greenfield will have a “Spring Fling” roast pork dinner Saturday at 6 p.m. $10. Dancing follows from 7 to 11 p.m. by the band Chicken Wire.

Orange

Alan Berman will lead an apple tree pruning demonstration at the Moore-Leland Library, 172 Athol Road in North Orange on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. In 2012, a small community apple orchard was planted on the grounds of the library.  These trees will be pruned at the demonstration.  Planting of the orchard was funded with a grant from the Garlic and Arts Festival Community Arts Program by the Orange ad hoc Town Energy Committee with the support of the Trustees and Friends of the Orange Public Libraries.  The intent is that members of the community will help maintain the trees and share in the future harvest.

Turners Falls

First Ever Seed Swap at Greenfield Savings Bank, 282 Avenue A will take place Saturday  from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Some complimentary seed packets will be available to start off the swap. GSB will also provide small baggies and plastic spoons to scoop out seeds to start a spring garden. A great way to share favorite seeds that might have been gathered in the fall from annuals gone by. Coffee, light refreshments and socialization provided free of charge by GSB. Come by for some “flower-talk!”

Free Reiki Sessions: Breast cancer patients and survivors in Franklin County are eligible to receive free individual Reiki sessions, thanks to a grant from Rays of Hope. Reiki practitioners will offer sessions on Saturday  mornings at 474 Main St., Suite 2. Reiki is described as a healing energy therapy, which can help provide relaxation and energy, decrease pain or anxiety, and promote physical, mental and emotional health. Stone Soup Cafe: meal at All Souls Church, Greenfield, on Saturdays at noon this is the only community meal on the weekend in Franklin County. As a pay what you can offering, those who can afford to make a donation may do so while others who cannot are never discriminated against or turned away. Food includes vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Rep. Paul Mark office hours: Mark hosts office hours at various Franklin County town halls this year.
