Monday, Dec. 1

1:16 a.m. — Officer came across a vehicle on Federal Street with the seat belt on the outside of the vehicle. Checked the vehicle and the registered owner was called. The registered owner stated he is in the process of fixing the vehicle and he leaves the seat belt in such a way to prevent the doors from locking him out. All OK.

1:26 a.m. — Report of an unwanted person on Deerfield Street. Natasha L. Giard, 38, of Elm Street in Buckland, was arrested on a warrant.

5:48 p.m. — Caller in the area of Adams Road and Lovers Lane reports there is a washing machine in the roadway. Multiple callers advising that the washer is seemingly damaged and is in the northbound lane. Washing machine was removed from the roadway. No longer a hazard for motorists. Officer requesting the Department of Public Works retrieve it from the side of the road.

8:16 p.m. — Vandalism reported at the Sandri convenience store on Federal Street. Reporting party states that at around 9:00 a.m., a car backed into one of the gas pumps and damaged it. Reporting party will email information and pictures of the vehicle’s license plate. Services rendered.

Tuesday, Dec. 2

7:51 a.m. — Report of threats being made with a knife at The Grapevine on Chapman Street. Party is upset with the manager. Zoe Anthony Olora Jr., 29, of Greenfield, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and carrying a dangerous weapon.

2:44 p.m. — Reporting party states multiple vehicles are stuck on Laurel Street due to icy road conditions. Department of Public Works is responding.

3:15 p.m. — Reporting party states several buses attempted to turn off Olive Street onto Bank Row and are now stuck. Department of Public Works requested to respond with salt and sand.

4:20 p.m. — Reporting party on Pierce Street wants to speak to an officer regarding her landlord taking her shovels. Not as reported. Landlord took abandoned property in the garage from an old tenant. Reporting party did not own the shovels.

Wednesday, Dec. 3

2:11 p.m. — Reporting party states she received a call yesterday from the “Greenfield Police Association” requesting money. She did not give the caller any information, however, the person calling was very pushy and adamant and now she is extremely scared. Reporting party was advised of the scam and precautions to take.

4:29 p.m. — Traffic stop at Hastings and Federal streets. Cody Joseph Lopes, 38, of Falmouth, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Thursday, Dec. 4

10:09 a.m. — Report of stolen packages over the past few weeks at the Mill House Apartments on Wells Street. Packages were located by staff. Issue resolved internally.

5:25 p.m. — Reporting party from Laurel Street reports someone who supposedly works with Medicare called her and she was told that, because she hasn’t ordered anything through Medicare, she could lose her coverage. Reporting party advised that she didn’t provide any money or personal information to the caller. Reporting party was advised to contact police if further incidents occurred.

10:23 p.m. — Stephanie Lynn Miller, 36, of Hope Street in Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants. Bail was set at $500.

11:09 p.m. — Caller reports a two-vehicle crash with possible injuries on Park Avenue. One car struck a parked car. Airbag deployment. Bernard Joseph Monkiewicz, 23, of Little Avenue in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, OUI-liquor over .08%, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and an expired inspection sticker.

Friday, Dec. 5

7:21 a.m. — Officer out with a party on an e-bike on Silver Street. Male party on an e-bike ran through the intersection on a red light. Party was advised of the traffic laws and the dangers of e-bikes on a public way. Party was apologetic and said he will stop.

10:51 a.m. — Christopher T. Tatro, 35, of Route 8A in Colrain, was arrested on Montague City Road on charges of trafficking in cocaine, 200 grams of more, and resisting arrest.

1:21 p.m. — Caller from Harrison Avenue is concerned that a male party in a UMass hoodie was walking around her property taking measurements at around 11 a.m. Reporting party was advised that the individual is working with the Greenfield’s Assessors Office and flyers were sent out notifying residents.

2:36 p.m. — Vandalism reported on Pierce Street. Reporting party states a previous tenant destroyed the apartment upon eviction. Reporting party will email a list of damaged items and photos. Report issued.

Saturday, Dec. 6

7:13 a.m. — Report of a sick porcupine on Green River Road underneath a deck. Referred to animal control officer.

7:37 a.m. — Report of a verbal dispute in the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street. Male party was distraught because his wallet fell in between the center console and he could not reach it. Both parties denied any argument. No need for police services.

4:25 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a set of keys and an ID hanging on the fence at the Elks Club on Church Street. Reporting party is unable to bring them to the station; she left them there and was looking for someone to come by and grab them. Police checked the entirety of the fence. The only item hanging up was a glove.

Sunday, Dec. 7

1:21 a.m. — Traffic stop at Main Street and Court Square. Ian Mauricio Carvalho-Demedeiros, 28, of Crescent Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of OUI-liquor over .08%, negligent operation of a vehicle and failure to stop/yield.

3:23 p.m. — Report of four people fighting outside at Davis and Pierce streets. No weapons observed. Checked the area, gone on arrival.
