TURNERS FALLS — The United Arc’s Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Group will meet on Thursday, May 25, at 10 a.m. at the United Arc, 294 Avenue A in Turners Falls.
The bimonthly meetings join grandparents or other family members who are raising their grandchildren and would like to meet others in the area. All Franklin County residents are welcome.

TURNERS FALLS — Mindfulness Meditation for Seniors, a six-week class sponsored by the Gill-Montague Senior Center, will be offered on Fridays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. starting on May 26.
The class is specifically designed for those ages 55 and older. It will “offer gentle stretches (done on or next to a chair), deep relaxation, traditional meditation and practical skills that can help us navigate the stress of daily life,” according to the event posting. The instructor, Jean Erlbaum, was trained in mindfulness-based stress reduction at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, and has been teaching in the Pioneer Valley since 1972.

TURNERS FALLS — Knights of Columbus Council 737 is having a Polish meals to-go fundraiser at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, located at 84 K St. Pickup times are on Saturday, June 3, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Each to-go box will include Polish kielbasa, sauerkraut pierogi, orange-glazed beets, green beans polonaise and garlic mashed potatoes. Tickets for the meal are $15 for one ticket or $25 for two tickets.
To reserve a meal, call the Our Lady of Czestochowa Church rectory office at 413-863-4748 weekdays between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by Monday, May 29. Leave a message stating your full name, phone number, number of meals, and which day you will pick up and pay for your meal.
