GREENFIELD — It’s the giving season, and the Franklin County Community Meals Program hopes that spirit will translate into meals for those who need them most.
The organization is seeking donations through its annual “Share The Bounty” fundraising campaign to provide local food aid through its partnership with the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. The campaign has expanded over the years to include 18 restaurants/coffee shops, four farm stands and three food markets, according to Executive Director Andrea Liebson.
Diners are invited to make donations to the meals program in specially marked envelopes or in collection jars at participating restaurants: Atlas Farm, Brad’s Place, Brass Buckle, Clarkdale Farm, Deerfield Inn, Denny’s Pantry, Elmer’s, Four Leaf Restaurant, Greenfield Coffee, Green Field’s Market, Hillside Pizza in Bernardston and Deerfield, M&M Farmstand, Magpie, McCusker’s Market, Mesa Verde, Pekarski’s Sausage, People’s Pint, Rendezvous, Riff’s in Turners Falls, Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters, Smiarowski Farm, Taylor’s, Terrazza and Thai Blue Ginger.
“FCCMP’s mission is to work in partnership with the community to alleviate hunger,” Liebson said. “FCCMP is pleased to work with local businesses to generate the funds needed to support our two food pantries at GCC and in Orange and our three meal sites.”
The campaign will run throughout December.
