WENDELL — Nomination papers are available for 12 open seats in town government.
Both new candidates and candidates for re-election must pick up nomination papers at the town clerk’s office, 9 Morse Village Road, by Thursday, March 14. The last day to submit nomination papers to the Board of Registrars is Monday, March 18.
The annual town election will be held Monday, May 6, at the Town Hall.
Open seats in this year’s election include the Selectboard, Board of Assessors, Board of Health, Road Commission, Cemetery Commissioner, School Committee and Town Constable, each with one position open for a three-year term.
The Planning Board has one open seat for a five-year term; the Library Trustees have two seats open for three-year terms; the tree warden position is open for a one-year term; and the town moderator position is open for a one-year term.
