AMHERST — President Donald Trump’s former press secretary — the man credited with presenting “alternative facts” — will be speaking at the University of Massachusetts Amherst later this month.
The UMass College Republicans have announced on their Facebook page that they’ve invited Sean Spicer to campus, where he will speak on Nov. 27 at the Fine Arts Center. He will be discussing his book, “The Briefing: Politics, the Press, and the President.”
The speech is free and open to the public, but tickets must be reserved on the Fine Arts Center website.
Spicer served as the first press secretary and director of communications in the Trump administration, but resigned 182 days into the job. He has previously served as communications director and chief strategist for the Republican National Committee.
