WENDELL — Anyone in need of an absentee ballot for the May 1 town election has until noon on Friday to pick up an application at the town clerk’s office.

Election polls will be open in the town office building from noon to 8 p.m.

The only contested race is between incumbent Daniel Keller and challenger Raymond DiDonato for a three-seat on the Selectboard.

The other races are as follows: Board of Assessors: Chris Wings (incumbent); town clerk: Gretchen Smith (incumbent); tax collector: Penny Delorey (incumbent); treasurer: Carolyn Manley (incumbent); Planning Board: Heather Reed (incumbent); moderator: Kathleen Nolan (incumbent); School Committee (three years): Johanna Bartlett (incumbent); School Committee (two years): Amy Palmer (nominee); road commissioner: Phil Delorey (nominee); Library Trustees (three years): Judith Putnam and Sylvia Wetherby (nominees).

No papers were taken out for Board of Health (three years), Planning Board (one year), cemetery commissioner (three years); cemetery commissioner (one year); School Committee (three years); and tree warden (one year). These positions may be filled by a write-in candidate, as can any other position on the ballot.
