Who was the mastermind that came up with Question 3? Obviously a Democrat.

Question 3 addresses primary ballots, and adoption of it would mean all candidates get listed on the same ballot, regardless of party affiliation. Well, it took them long enough to get around to it.

But it goes beyond that. Well beyond it.

With all parties on the ballot, people can vote for whoever they see fit. The caveat is, the top two candidates with the most votes will appear on the election ballot in November, even if they are from the same party. Yes, even if they are from the same party.

In this state, that means we may never again see a Republican Party ticket on a state ballot. I’m sure in most of Massachusetts, people will be just fine with this. They are probably the same people who talk about “democracy” all the time, not realizing, of course, that this is about as far from “democracy” as one can get.

This is just another method to stack the deck and close the door on any further Republican representation in the commonwealth.

I would really love to live long enough to see a ballot with nothing but Republicans on it, only because I would really love to see the Democrats scurry as fast as they can to see the law repealed as quickly as possible. It’s happened before in other states, and even here.
