Hawley, MA – Douglas G. Decker, 80, of West Hawley Rd., passed away Saturday, September 25, 2026.
Doug was born at home in Deerfield, MA on December 31, 1945 the son of Leroy and Mildred (Pratt) Decker.
He was a union carpenter Local 108 for a number of years and a “Jack of all trades” his whole life. He could start a conversation with a complete stranger and had a great memory of jokes of all kinds.
He was married to Gloria (Pratt) on July 3, 1968.
Survivors include his devoted wife Gloria, son Bernard Bernhardt III of Hawley, son Kyle Decker (Tammy) of Heath, daughter Georgia Cass (Robert) of Buckland, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, sister Donna Tanner (Robert) of Heath, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doug was predeceased by his brother Edward and sister Diane.
There are no services.
It was his wish for his family to have a party in his memory.
