Toward the end of August, I gathered at Frontier Regional in South Deerfield with several of my Scouting compatriots, whose service I am incredibly grateful for, and finally executed my Eagle Scout project.
The intent of the project was to replace the venerable and well-weathered picnic table that had served many years of students, staff, and families. We were successful in our endeavor, and the new table is ready to take on the new school year with many outdoor activities and sporting events to come.
This project would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our friends at the J Team Lumber and Sawmill in South Deerfield, who donated the wood needed for the table. I would also like to thank Mr. Lanides, the principal at Frontier, who helped with the various approvals and permissions required for us to proceed with the project as intended, as well as the family, friends, and Scout leaders who helped at every step in the process.
