Myron Charles Furtado

West Halifax, VT – Myron Charles Furtado, 78, of West Halifax VT, passed away peacefully on 5/28/26 at home with his loving wife Lisa by his side.

Mike – as he was known to most, was born 5/8/48 to Manuel and Josephine (Dodge) Furtado. Growing up in Lake Pleasant, he was the “middle” child of 9! Family was everything to him, enjoying fishing, hunting, and good ole raising hell amongst siblings, nieces, nephews etc… Mike was loving, caring, and hard working – but also, was the life of any party with his endless ability of rattling off jokes to anyone who would listen! He also loved hunting & fishing, playing cards, and playing pool with his buddies. Mike, known as Mountain Bull, was also a member of The Scalpers Lodge, where he had many friends and many good times!!!

Mike served in VietNam in heavy artillery 1968-1970. Upon his return home, he married his first wife, Joan Siano and eventually moved to VT. Joan predeceased him in 1997.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Lisa (Thomas) Furtado, siblings Marion (Totty) Linscott, Doreen (Dodie) Torres, Helen Furtado, Mark Furtado, several cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents Manuel & Josephine Furtado, siblings Joseph (Buddy) Furtado, Manuel (Beanie) Furtado, Frances (Squeakie) Beck, and Earl Furtado. Nephew Justin Furtado, and niece Kristina Furtado.
