Pamela Janes Goodrow

Haydenville, MA – Pamela Janes Goodrow, 82, of Haydenville, passed away peacefully in Northampton after saying goodbye to her three children. Born in Northampton to Lee Stanford Janes and Monica Murphy Janes, Pam was a lifelong educator who devoted 32 years to teaching at Clarke School for the Deaf. She was passionate about helping children discover the wonders of nature and was fondly remembered by generations of students and their families.

Before physical limitations became reality, Pam was an avid gardener. Pam found joy in nurturing flowers, plants, and the natural world she loved to share with others. Her greatest happiness, however, was her family. She cherished time spent with her five grandchildren and two great-grandsons, often taking them on nature walks and teaching them about the plants and animals around them.

Pam is survived by her children, Raymond Goodrow III & his partner Maryann Ramos of South Deerfield, Laura McGrath and her finance Jerry Buzzee of Hatfield , and Elizabeth O’Connell & her husband Corey O’Connell of Greenfield; her five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; her brother, Erich Janes; her sister, Heather Benoit; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to children, love of nature, and deep devotion to family & community.

Per her wishes, services will be private. A celebration of life will be held on Sept. 12, 2026, at the Bluebonnet Dinner Banquet Room. Details on the start time will be posted on the Williamsburg Funeral Home in Haydenville website.
