The Greenfield Recorder compiled a list of baseball All-Stars for Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region. Coaches input and relevant statistics factored into the final decisions for qualification.

Hunter Donahue, Franklin Tech

Donahue was a dynamic outfielder for the Eagles in addition to his abilities at the plate. The junior used his speed to cover a tremendous amount of ground in centerfield. He batted .522 with power. Donahue finished with four home runs, seven doubles and four triples.

Alex Lavigne, Athol

Lavigne filled multiple roles for the Bears in his senior season. He played several positions on defense and pitched. At the plate, he batted over .400.

Brody Hicks. Franklin Tech

Hicks was a consistent and steady shortstop, often making difficult plays look routine. He proved consistent at the plate as well with a .294 batting average. Hicks had 19 total hits with 11 RBI.

Chase Zraunig, Greenfield

Zraunig was instrumental in Greenfield’s Western Mass. championship run. In the 17-inning Class C championship game, Zraunig had several clutch hits that kept Greenfield in the game. Zraunig batted .338 with 20 RBI. He also led the team with 10 doubles.

Nicholas Prasol, Franklin Tech

Prasol was another defensive standout for the Eagles at first base. Prasol hit .330 with seven doubles and 15 RBI. Prasol’s on-base percentage was .457 for the Eagles.

Arthur Fitzpatrick, Greenfield

Fitzpatrick was a consistent pitcher all season for the Green Wave. In the Western Mass. Class C championship game, Fitzpatrick pitched 8 2/3 innings of one run baseball with five strikeouts. In 61 2/3 innings of work, Fitzpatrick had 47 strikeouts with a 2.38 ERA.

Jack Cusson, Frontier Regional

Cusson was a silky shortstop for the Redhawks. Every play he made looked smooth for Frontier. Cusson did damage the plate and was an effective pitcher if called upon. At the plate, Cusson batted .375 with 20 RBI and 20 runs scored. He added nine stolen bases. Cusson had a 1.70 ERA in 28 1/3 innings.

Bodie Burke, Greenfield

Burke represented another consistent arm on the mound for the Green Wave. Burke pitched 36 1/3 innings, finishing with a 6-2 record. He finished with a 1.16 ERA with 59 strikeouts.

Hayden Girard, Pioneer Valley Regional

Girard had a .327 average along with a .407 on base percentage at the plate for Pioneer. He played an important role in centerfield, registering seven outfield assists for the Panthers.

Conner Bergeron, Greenfield

Bergeron was an elite shortstop and a consistent bat for the Green Wave. The freshman also had big moments of the mound, including pitching eight innings of relief with 10 strikeouts in the Class C Western Mass. championship game. The freshman finished his season with a .386 batting average. He added 13 stolen bases.

Carter Miller, Frontier Regional

Miller was one of the most consistent pitchers in Franklin County. In 56 1/3 innings of work, Miller struck out 52 hitters and had a 0.87 ERA. Miller finished with a 7-1 record on the mound.

Kainen Stevens, Turners Falls

In addition to being a top starter for the Thunder, Stevens found consistency at the plate. In his senior season, Stevens batted .327 with 17 hits, 16 runs and 14 stolen bases.

Porter Dubow, Turners Falls

Dubow led Turners Falls in batting average, hitting .387 on the season. The junior had 24 hits with nine stolen bases and seven RBI.

Evan Tsipenyuk, Pioneer Valley Regional

Tsipenuk found success at the plate and on the mound for the Panthers. At the plate, Tsipenyuk batted .429 with a .475 on-base percentage. In 51 innings of work on the mound, he compiled a 1.76 ERA.

Matt Vitello, Mahar Regional

Vitello was a consistent bat, defensive player and pitcher for the Senators.
