Laura Kathleen Palin

Peabody, MA – Laura Kathleen Palin (née Murphy) passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Laura lived a life defined by generosity, determination, and an extraordinary ability to make everyone she met feel like family. A creative spirit and proud owner of The Quilted Pineapple, she found joy in art, community, and bringing beauty into the world. She was a fierce champion of local causes and schools, an outspoken advocate for those she loved, and a devoted keeper and storyteller of her family’s history.

Laura is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, her high school sweetheart, Jim Palin. She also leaves behind her cherished sons, Andrew Thomas and his wife, Silvia, and Tim Palin and his husband, Michael López; as well as her dear family friend, Elizabeth Ofilos. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments.

Laura’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her generosity, warmth, and kindness. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom, and example will continue to inspire all who knew her.

ARRANGEMENTS: Laura’s family will mourn privately at this time. A celebration of her life and soaring spirit will be held at a later date.
