Of the town’s 961 registered voters, 131 made their way to the polls, making for a 13.6% turnout. Rau received 85 votes to challenger James Sinclair’s 21, according to results provided by Town Clerk Thorne Palmer. While Rau could not be reached for comment on Wednesday, in her most recent term on the Board of Assessors, she served as chair.

There were three positions on the ballot that had no declared candidate, all of which were won by write-ins. These individuals still need to accept or decline their nominations to the various boards and committees.
