CHARLEMONT — The lone contested race in Charlemont’s town election on Tuesday saw incumbent Karen Rau retain her seat on the Board of Assessors.

Of the town’s 961 registered voters, 131 made their way to the polls, making for a 13.6% turnout. While Rau could not be reached for comment on Wednesday, in her most recent term on the Board of Assessors, she served as chair.
