1:17 p.m. — Employee from Scotty’s Convenience Store on Unity Street reports there is a customer who believes she is being followed by a car that is parked across the street. Involved vehicle may be a private investigator. No issues.

1:27 p.m. — Caller on Old Greenfield Road states her son is yelling at her and preventing her from working peacefully in the home. Both parties were doing spring cleanups around the house and had an argument on who owned items throughout the yard. Both parties agreed to stop yelling and separate. Peace restored.

Tuesday, March 31

5:36 a.m. — Caller on Avenue A reports a car horn has been sounding for some time. Officer checking the area. Officer advises nothing seen or heard since his arrival. Upon calling the reporting party back, the caller stated the horn was no longer sounding.

5:16 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a sinkhole by the storm drain on Park Street. Department of Public Works will take care of the issue in the morning. Officers were advised to leave cones out for the night.

11:03 p.m. — Report of flooding on Federal Street. Officer advises the water is about 5 inches deep from Bangs Street to West Main Street. Rain has stopped. Will keep an eye on the situation for the rest of the night and advise the Department of Public Works in the morning.

Wednesday, April 1

8:52 a.m. — Turners Falls High School principal reports a female driver has been operating a blue Mercedes in a dangerous and erratic manner. She reportedly weaves in and out of cars while students are being dropped off, and drives very fast on the property. Officer spoke with the female party at her residence and advised her of the complaint.

1:24 p.m. — Montague Bookmill employee reports finding hate speech in book stacks as well as in the bathroom. She does not have cameras and does not know who was in the store or when it was done. Requesting the incident be logged.

8:05 p.m. — Caller reports a male party with an open container of alcohol is harassing females in the alley and in front of Turners Falls Pizza House on Avenue A. Officer advised. Graham William Bryce, 35, of Lenox, was arrested on three warrants.

Thursday, April 2

11:10 a.m. — Walk-in to the station from Worcester Avenue reports hearing random knocks on her front door at night over the past few years. Family is coming to install some cameras and she was advised to call again if the issue persists.

3:03 p.m. — Reporting party on Turnpike Road states something happened to her car and it stopped working, so she is trapped inside the vehicle. Officer was able to get the door open. Caller was going to contact AAA to replace the battery.

Friday, April 3

12:41 a.m. — Commercial security alarm sounding at the Millers Falls Rod & Gun Club on Turners Falls Road. Alarm company advises no answer at the premises. Officer located an open door to the building. Attempted to contact individuals listed for the location, with no answers. Officer advising alarms have been reset.

5:24 p.m. — Reporting party at the Montague Village Store on Main Street reports being harassed by a patron. Officer spoke with the reporting party.

Saturday, April 4

8:27 a.m. — Caller states there are a bunch of cows loose near the Senn farm on Wendell Road. Officer spoke with a male party who believes the cows are his. He will round them up.

2:24 p.m. — Report of a brush fire in a backyard on Turners Falls Road. Call transferred to the Shelburne Control Dispatch Center, police responding. Enough fire personnel on scene. Police leaving.

2:26 p.m. — Officer checking on a disabled vehicle on Millers Falls Road. Vehicle’s hood was not secured and it flew open and cracked the windshield. Party will drive it home slowly.

4:39 p.m. — Report of a truck on fire at Pioneer Stone Seals on Federal Street. Vehicle is close to the garage. Call transferred to the Shelburne Control Dispatch Center. Shutting down Route 63 at South Lyman Street.

Sunday, April 5

8:55 a.m. — Caller reports hearing a female voice possibly yelling for help somewhere in the neighborhood on H Street. Officers checked the area and spoke to some people who were out walking. No one else heard anything and no sounds were heard by officers.

10:30 a.m. — Caller from H Street reporting the people on the first floor are arguing and they can hear yelling. Contact made with a female party who was alone in the house and stated she was having an argument over the phone with a family member.

8:06 p.m. — Callers reporting someone entered the parking lot of the skate park on First Street in a white truck, and a male party got out and started pointing a laser at their heads. Officer spoke to the truck driver and advised him it was after hours and he needed to leave. The item he had was a red laser pointer. Male party moved along without incident.

10:58 p.m. — Caller states someone, possibly intoxicated, drove into parked vehicles on South Ferry Road. Alarm company received a crash notification in the area. Tow requested. Sarah Ann Wolkenbreit, 45, of Meadow Road in Montague Center, was arrested on a charge of OUI-liquor over .08%.

Monday, April 6

10:12 a.m. — Ordinance violation in the area of the laundromat on Third Street. Citizen was reminded to pick up canine waste.

5:03 p.m. — Reporting party from Laurel Lane states he is going to meet someone named Richard at Walgreens to get a check from him for $2.5 million for his input in Reader’s Digest. Officer spoke with the reporting party and advised this is a scam. He was advised not to go to Walgreens and since he gave his address out, he was advised to keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

Tuesday, April 7

6:26 p.m. — Caller states two all-terrain vehicles and two dirt bikes are doing wheelies and racing on Lake Pleasant Road. Officer drove the length of the road and did not see anything.

7:43 p.m. — Reporting party on Turners Falls Road states two males entered his home and he went out the back door to flag down a female party to use her phone to call 911. Caller also states he saw the male parties at the cemetery beforehand and one of them reportedly had a knife. Officer en route. Home was cleared and residents can enter.

Wednesday, April 8

3:16 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a male party who is acting suspicious in the Great Falls Discovery Center parking lot, possibly throwing what looked like a knife at a tree. Unable to locate.

4:19 p.m. — Reporting party on Kingsley Avenue states a male party is in the yard yelling and screaming. Male party heard yelling in the background. He reportedly took off on an e-bike heading toward downtown. Reporting party informed officers about ongoing landlord/tenant issues. Nothing criminal reported, just ongoing civil issues.

Thursday, April 9

10:53 a.m. — Walk-in to the station is concerned that twice in the last month, a kid on a bike has come from the path from Vladish Avenue to Turnpike Road and straight into the road without stopping, and she has had to slam on her brakes. Dispatcher spoke with a Department of Public Works foreman who advised they have put the crosswalk/stop signs back out in the road in that location now that winter is over. Vehicles should now be stopping at that crosswalk and hopefully that eliminates the problem.

4:02 p.m. — Reporting party on K Street states a male party won’t leave. Officer advised. Reporting party states he is now walking toward T Street and L Street. Officers located the male party sitting on the steps at the rectory. Adam Michael Powell, 38, of East Buckland Road in Buckland, was arrested on a warrant.

9:22 p.m. — Caller is concerned two male parties are stealing car parts and swapping tires on Fourth Street. Male parties stated they were just checking tire pressure.

Friday, April 10

7:38 p.m. — Taylor Spelman, 35, of Main Street in Montague, was arrested on two warrants.

9:06 p.m. — Reporting party states his vehicle was just struck in the Elks Lodge parking lot on Elks Avenue, and then the driver threatened him as he was leaving. Suspect vehicle was described as a white four-door Lincoln, last seen taking a right out of the parking lot onto L Street. Reporting party advised he observed the driver before his vehicle was struck. Caller states the driver was unsteady on his feet, falling over and that he urinated in the parking lot before getting into his vehicle. Reporting party states he is not injured. Officers checked the area from L Street down to First Street. Unable to locate.

Saturday, April 11

3:47 p.m. — Collision between a Honda and a school bus reported on Montague City Road. One caller reported there are 13 students on board the bus, plus the driver. Driver of the Honda and one child were transported to the hospital, and the coach from the bus and two students from the bus were also transported. Tow requested for the Honda. Officer inquiring about the availability of F.M. Kuzmeskus to transport uninjured bus passengers to the Community Room at the Public Safety Complex. The Turners Falls Fire Department had already requested the Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA). FRTA picked up the remaining students. Rose Ledge Co. is taking the bus. Citation issued for speed and a marked lanes violation.

Sunday, April 12

3:17 a.m. — Report of a nude female party in the alleyway on Fourth Street. Female is reportedly screaming and yelling, and hitting parked cars. Officers advised. Female was found to have smoked meth. Not combative. Ambulance able to approach. Officer will go to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

9:20 a.m. — Caller from Avenue A reports the female party in the downstairs apartment has been yelling sporadically all night. Officers spoke with the female who stated she has been experiencing foot pain. She declined medical attention.

6:00 p.m. — Reporting party from Turners Falls Road states that several items are missing from her home and her roommate’s boyfriend posted pictures that included those items. Reporting party advised the pictures were of items the boyfriend was selling at a flea market. Officer advised. Report taken.
