Water use restriction in effect
SOUTH DEERFIELD — A water use restriction for all users of the South Deerfield Water Supply District’s water supply is currently in effect.
On May 1, the water district issued the ban on “all non-essential outdoor water use,” a townwide text alert reads. As of April 8, the Connecticut River Valley is facing a Level-1 Mild Drought, according to the state Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
According to a notice from the South Deerfield Water Supply District, the district will notify residents when the restriction has been lifted.
