Richmond, VA – Carol J. Taylor, 84, of Richmond, VA, formerly of Turners Falls, MA, passed away peacefully at her home on July 20, 2026, with her family by her side. Born December 21, 1941, to the late Edward and Mary (Muszynski) Zewinski, also of Turners Falls.
Carol was a homemaker who loved her family and building a home and fulfilling life with husband Sam. She was a voracious reader, wonderful cook, and exceptionally skilled at cross stitch.
Carol is survived by a daughter Kathleen Taylor Johnson of NC; grandchildren Tristen and Taylor Jansheski of MI; and sister Judith (Zewinski) Targhetta of MA.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Samuel J. Taylor in September 2018, also from Richmond and Turners Falls; her daughter, Karen Taylor Jansheski of Kalamazoo, MI in March 2026; and her brother Edward Zewinski of CT.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday 8/15/26 at 10AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Turners Falls.
