GREENFIELD —Chase Zraunig knocked in five runs for the Greenfield baseball team its 12-2 win over Pioneer Valley Regional on Wednesday at Vets Field. A two-run single by Zraunig in the bottom of the fifth inning ended the Suburban East game due to the mercy rule.

“We were on them all day today,” Zraunig said. “They’ve (Pioneer) been beating us up for the last three years. We want to get back at them this year and we did that. I’ve been feeling good in the box the last couple weeks.”

“The past few years we have been turning it up after the April break,” Zraunig said. “It’s good that all the guys are hitting. Everybody on the team is hitting the ball. That’s all that matters.”
