On behalf of farmers in her district and across the commonwealth, I’d like to extend deepest thanks to Natalie Blais for her advocacy on behalf of agriculture throughout her tenure as state representative. She carried on the legacy of her predecessor Steve Kulik, and hopefully the next person to fill her seat will continue the trend. Massachusetts farms are in a stronger position now in large part due to the tireless work of Natalie along with state Sen. Jo Comerford. Many of us were able to recoup losses from devastating weather events in 2023 and become more resilient for future climate-related challenges after the two of them rallied colleagues in the Legislature and Healey administration to secure vital funding. Always accessible to her district and very visible in the community, we will miss Natalie and wish her well in her new role at UMass!
