Leyden to hold energy aggregation forum

LEYDEN — As the town prepares to launch its municipal energy aggregation program, the Selectboard is planning to host a public forum on Monday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m. to inform residents about the changes, how they can learn more and how they can opt out of the program if they so choose.

During a Selectboard meeting on Dec. 22, Selectboard member Katherine DiMatteo said that in mid-January, residents will receive letters from Colonial Power Group. The town contracted with Colonial Power Group to manage its energy program. The letters will contain information about rates and service options.

“I just want to basically give everyone a heads-up they’re going to be getting something in the mail,” DiMatteo said.

More information will be posted to townofleyden.com.
