Bank participating in Angel Tree program

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Cooperative Bank is partnering with The Salvation Army to support the Angel Tree program, an annual initiative that provides gifts for local families in need during the holidays.

Community members can pick an Angel tag from participating bank branches, each representing a local child in need. The tag includes the child’s holiday wish list and clothing sizes, allowing donors to purchase personalized gifts that will be distributed by The Salvation Army in time for the holidays. Participating branches include Greenfield’s main office, Greenfield’s branch office, the Shelburne Falls branch office, the Turners Falls branch office and the Sunderland branch office.

“The generosity of our community never ceases to amaze us,” Lisa Granger, branch manager of Greenfield Cooperative Bank’s main office, said in a statement. “By working together, we can help make the holidays brighter for our neighbors who need it most.”

Participating branches will have Angel Tree displays available through Thursday, Dec. 11. Community members are encouraged to visit their local branch, select a tag and return unwrapped gifts by the deadline.
