Maralyn Arabia

Buckland, MA – Maralyn D. Arabia passed at home on October 27, 2025 at the age of 85. Maralyn was born on May 15, 1940 to the late Harry and Jennie Graves. Maralyn grew up in Greenfield and attended Greenfield High School. In 1955 Maralyn met Richard “Dick” Arabia and married April 19, 1958. Maralyn and Dick shared their lives together and were married for 63 years before his passing.

Maralyn worked several jobs from picking apples for Ed Scott, to cafeteria worker for Mohawk Trail Regional School, to driving school bus for FM Kuzmeskus.

Maralyn’s hobbies were reading, history, crossword puzzles, and gardening. She loved baking apple pies (hers were the best), canning vegetables and making homemade pickles. Maralyn enjoyed family and hosting holiday meals with her husband Dick. As the family grew so did the table, pushing the limits of the room until Dick was practically in the dinning room closet. She enjoyed many years vacationing with family in Ocean Park Maine, the Cass Family private lake in NH and Barton Camp on the Deerfield River, where she learned to water ski once landing with her skis in the embankment and flipping right out of the water skis! Countless memories of holidays, vacations and board games comfort the family through our loss.

Maralyn was predeceased in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Richard D (Dick) Arabia, infant son Richard D Arabia Jr, grandson Keith G Billiel, brothers Neal O Graves and Ronald Graves. Maralyn leaves behind three daughters, Darlene M. Billiel, Sherrie M. Cutler (David), Suzanne J Sumner (Rick), and son Richard A. Arabia, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
