9:24 p.m. — Caller on Avenue A reports seeing a lot of smoke while walking home. Officer located a small campfire on Fifth Street that may have been the source.
Wednesday, Sept. 10
2:50 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reports someone stole a blank check at The Rendezvous on Third Street and cashed it for $3,000. Report taken.
6:29 p.m. — Caller on Chester Street near Vladish Avenue reports a bear cub just ran through his yard and into the yard on the corner.
Thursday, Sept. 11
1:16 p.m. — Report of loose horses in the road on Federal Street. Police spoke with the owner who was trying to locate them and get them back home.
1:51 p.m. — Reporting party on West Mineral Road reports her oven was burning and there was smoke when she opened the oven. It seems better now, but she’d like the Fire Department to check it. Call transferred.
Friday, Sept. 12
3:16 p.m. — Caller from Sunrise Terrace reports an attempted scam over the phone, asking for $500 Visa gift cards. Caller was advised to block the number.
Saturday, Sept. 13
9:22 p.m. — Caller at the North Village Smokehouse on Federal Street reports seeing big flames, believes there is a house fire. Officer advises there is a fire pit with tiki torches on New Street. No structure fire.
Sunday, Sept. 14
12:44 a.m. — Caller on Montague Avenue states a dog has been barking in the area for roughly 45 minutes. Officer attempting to locate the noise. Officer observed three or four coyotes in the area of the railroad tracks. Noise is believed to be from them.
Monday, Sept. 15
6:01 a.m. — Caller on East Taylor Hill Road states that over the past year, her property has been getting vandalized, and today she woke up to find a dumbbell behind her tire. Believes it was put there so she would run it over. Would like the dumbbell checked for fingerprints. Reporting party later called back to advise the dumbbell was left there by her son.
4:49 p.m. — Caller at Unity Park on First Street states he is at the park with his daughter. Reporting party observed a truck slow down and it seemed like the driver was taking a video of the park. Report taken.
5:15 p.m. — Reporting party on Greenfield Road states vehicles have been speeding up and down the road for an hour. Caller was wondering if the road could be monitored. Report taken.

8:51 p.m. — Caller requesting the Fire Department check on a fire in the alley on Fourth Street.
Wednesday, Sept. 17
8:46 p.m. — Reporting party on Seventh Street states her car was hit while parked on the side of the street. Report taken.
Thursday, Sept. 18
8:25 a.m. — Caller at Avenue A and 11th Street is concerned about a male party in a white truck who was filming kids at the bus stop. Officers advised.
11:40 p.m. — Caller on Federal Street states that sometime between noon and 11 p.m., her computer was hacked. Reporting party states $400 was taken from her Amazon account. Caller already contacted Amazon and her bank about the issue. Officer advised.
Friday, Sept. 19
12:17 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reports three women pulled into his driveway on Carlisle Avenue and began arguing with him about politics. Caller states he does not know the women and that they were Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Saturday, Sept. 20
2:14 p.m. — Caller reports a large tree branch fell onto wires on Masonic Avenue. Branch is reportedly over part of the bike path. Determined to be a Comcast line. Comcast advised.
Sunday, Sept. 21
1:22 p.m. — Report of a brush fire on Federal Street. Turners Falls Fire Department on scene.
8:15 p.m. — Reporting party on Avenue C states she had a terrible experience with DoorDash and is afraid the driver may be stalking her. Would like an officer to check the area and report back to her if it’s safe. Officer checked the area. Reporting party was advised to call back if the driver returns.
Monday, Sept. 22
2:55 p.m. — Multiple residents on Second and L streets report vehicles speeding in the area, with many vehicles cutting down the First Street alley and speeding up to Avenue A. Referred to an officer.
3:44 p.m. — Caller on G Street states there is a male party with a rifle. Resident was found to have a pellet gun, attempting to deter rodents from the backyard. Upon notifying the reporting party, she said she is concerned he is shooting squirrels. She feeds the squirrels.
4:12 p.m. — Caller on Federal Street reports being bitten by a dog. Reporting party is bleeding from the calf. Dog is up to date on shots. Animal control officer responding.
Tuesday, Sept. 23
5:37 p.m. — Crash reported on East Chestnut Hill Road. Vehicle blocking the road, no wires involved. Vehicle towed.
6:52 p.m. — Officer came across a vehicle off the road, on North Leverett Road. Nobody around.
Wednesday, Sept. 24
8:33 a.m. — Reporting party at Millers Falls Road and Wentworth Avenue is concerned about the sound of gunfire or small explosions in the area. Found to be coming from across the river at the gun range. No issues.
4:06 p.m. — Two-vehicle crash on Third Street. No injuries, no fluids. Officer advised.
Thursday, Sept. 25
9:13 a.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle by a storm drain on Griswold Street. Item retrieved.
5:43 p.m. — Reporting party on Park Street states her neighbor is putting sticks in her driveway. Caller states the neighbor says it’s his driveway but it’s hers. Officer spoke with involved parties, advised of options.
6:38 p.m. — Report of a man on Avenue A in the area of the Turners Falls Pizza House going into people’s vehicles and grabbing change and other belongings. All surrounding streets and alleys checked, nothing found.
Friday, Sept. 26
1:00 p.m. — Caller on Second Street reporting a sewage backup in her basement. Does have a plumber coming. Department of Public Works advised.
Saturday, Sept. 27
3:21 p.m. — Manager at Aubuchon Hardware on Avenue A states a female party came into the store, stole various items and took off in her car. Pool float, glow sticks and a flashlight taken. Officer heading back to the store with the stolen items. Female issued court summons.
5:52 p.m. — Caller at Court Square reports hearing gunshots. Neighbor found to have an outdoor shooting range. Range is 500 feet away and not facing any houses.

6:10 p.m. — Caller on Millers Falls Road would like to speak to an officer about stolen property. Male party to fill out a statement form.
Monday, Sept. 29
11:21 a.m. — Report of a possibly sick fox wandering around on the sidewalk on Montague Street. Animal control officer notified. Unable to locate.
8:23 p.m. — Noise complaint on Oakman Street. Neighbor is leaf blowing.
Tuesday, Sept. 30
2:00 p.m. — Caller on Millers Falls Road reports someone shot a couple of BBs into a window of his RV.
3:30 p.m. — Caller on Fairway Avenue requesting to speak with an officer about being scammed by three different people in the amount of $23,000. Officer advised. Reporting party will gather paperwork to bring to the station.
Wednesday, Oct. 1
8:36 a.m. — Caller on East Taylor Hill Road reports her Halloween decorations were vandalized. States this has happened multiple times.
3:13 p.m. — Caller on Park Villa Drive believes someone may have stolen oxycodone off her kitchen table. Officer advised. Reporting party was advised of options.
Thursday, Oct. 2
3:34 p.m. — Reporting party would like officers to check the area as he thinks people are living in their vehicles off Beach Road.
Friday, Oct. 3
5:30 p.m. — Caller on Main Street reports two dogs are fighting and four people are trying unsuccessfully to separate them. Officer reports a female party has lacerations on her fingers and is going to the hospital. Animal control officer requested to meet officers at the station.
Saturday, Oct. 4
1:00 p.m. — Crash involving a car and a motorcycle at Montague City Road and Turnpike Road. Officer advising the vehicle called in was involved with an earlier incident in Wendell where a subject pulled a knife on a store clerk. Party detained. Mutual aid requested to close Montague City Road. Tow requested. Officer following the ambulance to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
Sunday, Oct. 5
3:11 p.m. — Report of a minor crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Lyman Street. Both vehicles were able to drive away.
7:14 p.m. — Reporting party on Sunderland Road states she was driving and two kids wearing masks jumped out. She had to swerve to avoid hitting them and she is concerned for their safety. Unable to locate.
