Polish foods for sale at Fall Bazaar
SOUTH DEERFIELD — The Holy Name of Jesus Parish will host its Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon. Attendees can choose from a host of Polish foods to purchase, including homemade pierogi and golabki, pies, soups and baked treats, and enter a raffle.
Quonquont Farm hosts open house for weddings
WHATELY — Quonquont Farm will open its doors for wedding planners to see and taste what the venue has to offer on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Visitors can sample farm-crafted cocktails; check out tableware samples from Hilltown Tents, The Borrowed Teacup, Michael’s Party Rentals, and Classical Tents and Party Goods; and tour the farm’s barn, patio, ceremony location options and dressing suite, according to Quonquont Farm’s Director of Operations Jenelle Wilkins.
Viren Entertainment will provide music. Private tours are available by request with group tours starting at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Shutesbury Community Preservation Committee accepting grant applications
SHUTESBURY — The Community Preservation Committee is accepting grant applications for projects focused on community housing, open space and recreation, and historic preservation.
To apply, those interested must submit determination of eligibility and grant application forms at shutesbury.org/community_preservation. The deadline for the determination of eligibility is Dec. 8 and the deadline for the grant application is Feb. 9.

Conway Selectboard seeks streetlight grant
CONWAY — The Selectboard is in the process of applying for a $38,445 Green Communities grant to replace 38 streetlights across Conway.
If the town receives the grant, the funds would replace the existing streetlights with dimmer LED bulbs, reducing the wattage to either 16 or 17 watts.
“It’s more in line with Green Communities, what the state’s looking at positively, but also more in line with what towns are doing,” said Ted Harvey, senior economic development planner at the Franklin Regional Council of Governments. During its Monday meeting, the Selectboard met with Harvey over Zoom for an update on the application process.
According to Harvey, Eversource already decommissioned 26 of the 67 streetlights in town, leaving 38 to be replaced besides three privately owned streetlights.
Town Administrator Veronique Blanchard said the timeline for replacing the streetlights depends on when the Selectboard hears back from the Green Communities Division regarding the grant.
Conway installing public parking signs
CONWAY — The Selectboard voted to install six public parking signs in front of the baseball field and Town Hall during its meeting on Monday night.
One of the signs in front of Town Hall will indicate handicapped parking. According to Town Administrator Veronique Blanchard, the signs will indicate public parking areas for residents and visitors to help ensure the limited Town Hall parking spaces remain open for those with mobility impairments.
The six signs cost a total of $300. The town aims to install the signs “before the frost hits,” according to Blanchard.
