Whately, MA – Constance "Connie" Kelsey, 75, passed away October 1, 2025, at her home in Whately, MA. Born in Northampton, MA October 9, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Sabin and Sophie (Jekanowski) Filipkowski. She was educated at Whately elementary schools and graduated high school from The Northfield School for Girls. Connie graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, and studied to be a Paralegal at Elms College, before returning to Whately.
Connie enjoyed painting, knitting, and playing the piano. She was an avid cat lover and gardener. Her free time was largely spent outdoors, and she always enjoyed a good hike. Connie was an active member in both the Bell Choir and Art Association.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother Melvin Filipkowski. Connie is survived by her brother Alan Fillip and his wife Nancy of Westford MA; nieces and nephews Justin Fillip and his wife Jill, Adrienne Gotreau and her husband Chris, Vanessa Fillip, and Carla Fillip and her husband Raymond. She also leaves 7 great nieces and nephews: Sophie Ivan, Ryan, Damien, Caleb, Cameron, and Rosalie.
An in-House Service will be held at Wrisley Funeral Home Wednesday October 15, 2025, at 3 pm. Calling hours will precede the service from 1 pm to 3 pm.
