
Crumpin-Fox Club held its Senior Club Championship over the weekend and it came down to a playoff to determine the champion.
Mike O’Connell and Tim Brandl each carded a score of 152 after 36 holes which led to the playoff, with O’Connell taking down Brandl in the playoff to win the tournament.
Carl Hoynoski shot the low net (137) while Peter Jenkins and Rich Carroll tied for second (143).
Thomas Memorial Club Championship
The Thomas Memorial Club Championship took place over the weekend, with Jeff Jackman taking home the trophy after carding a score of 142.
Jack Day took second (148), Bob Bourbeau placed third (150), Cody Snow came in fourth (152) and Paul Barnard settled for fifth (160).
Scott Waldron carded the low net (139) followed by Wayne Lacey (139), Charlie Peters (143), Grady Deery (147) and Jeremy Roussel (150).
Cindy Scully won the Women’s Club Championship, shooting a score of 205. Terry Adams took second (208) and Elena Gordievsky placed third (213).
U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifier
A 2025 U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifier took place at The Ranch Golf Club in Southwick on Monday, with South Deerfield’s Keith Burch competing.
Burch carded a 3-over 75 to finish in a tie for 11th place. Only the top four scores advanced to the next round of the tournament.
CCG
The group of Norm Morris, Brian Luippold, Sue Luippold, Bob Welsh, Sean Doyle and Kevin Piecuch tied with the groups of Barbara Killeen, Jack Killeen, Barry Dow, Mike Plager, John Johnson and Brady Booska as well as Nancy Donoghue, David Donoghue, Dan Donoghue, Elaine Goodhind, Pat Coffin and Tom Coffin and the group of Mike Covey, Diane Carme, Raye Young, Rich Young, Chris Varilly and Dave Seymour for first with scores of 55 in a 200 Club Summer Scramble at Country Club of Greenfield Saturday.
In net scoring Mike Archer, Liz Archer, Roy Emerson, TC Emerson, Jason Kelton and Karin Kelton tied with the group of Tom Herzig, Terry Boyce, Lana O’Connor, Sabrina Mancini, John Missale and Judy Strong, the group of Chuck Yetter, Donna Yetter, Adam Bass, Jon Cohen, Jeff Neipp and Marty Carter as well as the group of George LaCroix, Angie LaCroix, Butch LaCroix, Matt Hall, Alex Hall and Jimmy Small for first (50).
• In a Friday Night Mixer at CCG, Anthony Laurenitis and Kylie Laurenitis took first with scores of 34. Casey Downie and Keegan Downie shot the low net (34).
• Jim Elwell and Pete Quintana took first (136), Kevin Coughlin and Shane Parker took second (134) in the Greenfield Elks League at CCG last week.
Aaron Campbell won closest to the pin on No. 2 (12 feet, 10 inches) and Jeff Neipp won it on No. 5 (11-9).
Eaglebrook Outing
The Third Annual Eaglebrook Golf Outing took place on Friday at Crumpin-Fox, with the foursome of Aaron Van Epps, Aiden Van Epps, Brett Gagne and Max Massoni taking first with a score of 54.
Blake Waidlich, Mike Waidlich, Shane Parker and Eric Van Natta took second (57). Aaron Van Epps won longest drive on No. 17 while Kyle Cunningham won on No. 8. In closest to the pin, Michael Donner won on No. 15 (7-10) and Thomas Cushing won on No. 9 (11-4).
Baseball
Jimmy Fund Tournament
The Turners Falls Titans 12U baseball team had a successful trip to Agawam over the weekend.
Competing in the 2025 Jimmy Fund Tournament, Turners earned the top seed, fought to the championship game and took home the title with a 10-2 victory over Northampton on Saturday. Turners finished the tournament with an unblemished 5-0 record.
Emanuel Quezada hit .769 with 10 hits while Dayzar Crapps finished the tournament with a .538 average with seven hits. Sammy Choleva and Spencer Towne combined to strike out 30 on the mound and held the opponent to a .150 batting average.

Menace 14, Flyers 2 — The Menace put nine on the board in the second to advance to the Franklin County Summer Softball League championship game with a win over the Flyers Monday.
Sofia Melnik knocked three hits including a home run and drove in three, Taylor Chase tripled in a run while Rileyanne Tine, Amelia Rider and Max Luippold each tallied a hit and an RBI in the victory.
Kaylin Sevoian singled in a run while Carsyn Bauer and Savannah Cordio both hit safely for the Flyers.
