Greenfield Military Band performing at Energy Park throughout July

GREENFIELD — As part of its seasonal concert series, the Greenfield Military Band will perform at Energy Park on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. throughout July.

Director Richard Sargent has brought a blend of traditional favorites and new arrangements from theater, pop and standards.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs to the park.

These concerts are supported by a Crossroads Cultural Grant.

July 19: ‘Dog Days of Summer Pop-Up Shop’

GREENFIELD — The gift shop at Baystate Franklin Medical Center is sponsoring a “Dog Days of Summer Pop-Up Shop” featuring Daisy’s Designs handmade pet bandanas on Friday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby.

Proceeds will benefit patient services. Cash or credit cards will be accepted. Alternatively, hospital employees can opt for payroll deductions.

In addition to this pop up-sale, the gift shop will be featuring some dog-themed merchandise in the shop from Wednesday, July 17, through Wednesday, July 24. Some of the items that the gift shop will be selling include dog treats, dog chew and pull toys, food dishes, plush toy dogs for children, dog-themed books and resin Labrador figures with seasonal accessories.

Artspace accepting exhibit proposals

GREENFIELD — Local artists and curators are invited to propose an exhibit to be held at Artspace Community Arts Center, 15 Mill St. between September 2024 and June 2025.

Teen art classes on horizon

GREENFIELD — Artspace Community Arts Center at 15 Mill St. is hosting the following four art classes for teens:

■July 10 — Watercolor Wednesday: Animal/Pet Portraits.

■July 17 — Watercolor Wednesday: Painting in Nature.

■July 22 — Make-A-Book Monday: Collaborative Comic Jam.

■July 29 — Make-A-Book Monday: Mini Zines.

These two-hour classes are instructed by Althea Keaton and cost $35 each. To register, visit artspacegreenfield.org/classes-workshops. The link also includes information about week-long sessions for children ages 7 to 11 beginning July 8.
