I didn’t go the Green River Festival this year, for a variety of reasons. But I live close by, and for the first year ever I can say I wish it had been a little bit louder. I could barely hear the music from Madison Circle.
This festival has been a “happy maker” for Franklin County in all its iterations for all the years it existed. Under the direction of the late Ann Hamilton at the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, all the years of the direction of Jim Olsen at Signature Sounds, and now its new director, John Sanders.
Timeless, up to date and always something new, this festival has the glue and foundation in Franklin County, even when it when it changes venue or staff. Always new food, original artists and always a lot to love. I’m proud to live in a place that puts this level of music and arts and food on a stage comparable to cities nationwide.
Thanks, Green River Festival!
