On my ballot next week, I will be leaving the mayor line blank. I do not see a significant difference between the candidates on key issues and I don’t believe that either has earned my trust through their record, even though I like both of them personally.
On the other hand, I see a clear choice for assessor: Charles “Chuck” Green. While his opponent has said he wants to outsource even more work to profit-seeking corporations, Chuck has the dedication and skill set to effect a transition to fair assessments by personally doing the hard work we will be electing him to do.
