The 29th annual Don Maynard Memorial 5 Mile Run and 2.5 Mile Walk will be on held Saturday Sept. 16 at the Greenfield Municipal Swimming Area on Nash’s Mill Rd.

Elks League
The pairing of Bill Erman and Paul Viens led the Greenfield Elks League with 77 points on Wednesday at the Country Club of Greenfield.
Bob Ferris and Vinnie Melendez took second (76.5) while Frank McDonald and Art Belanger took third (75.5). In closest to the pin Joe Ruggeri won on No. 2 (21 feet, nine inches) while Bob Zaikowski won it on No. 5 (19-0).
Timmons-Messer
Rich Drozdal and Norm LaCoy won a match of cards over Wil Guiel and Dave Bonnett to finish with the low gross of 34 in the Timmons-Messer League at the Northfield Golf Course on Wednesday.
Jim Garanin and Neil Black carded the low net of 24, followed by Ed Terault and Ed Reagey (25).
In closest to the pin, Dave Brady won at No. 6 (5-4.5) while LaCoy won it at No. 7 (7-1).
Curt White was the match medalist with a 35, followed by Guiel with a 36.
