The Greenfield co-ed adult softball league wrapped up its season over the weekend, with the Liberty Tax Sharks earning a 20-4 victory over Tavern to take home the B Division title on Sunday. 

The Sharks knocked off Hot-L Warren (16-1) and Tavern (20-18) to reach the finals. 

Sean O’Connor was the tournament’s male MVP after knocking two doubles, a triple, four home runs and driving in 21 runs. Whitney Roberts was the female MVP after batting .440. Mike Cole cracked seven doubles and eight RBIs, Che Christi batted .710, Jade Cuevas hit .530 while Bob Badillo pitched in every win for the Sharks.

Dan Gavin took first place with 17 wins in a King of the Hill contest at the Country Club of Greenfield on Saturday. 

Pat Grogan placed second (16) while Alec Meikle earned third (15). In net scoring Phil Reilley won 16.5 matches, Michael Duclos won 13.5 matches while Matt Pitoniak came out on top in 13 matches.

Greenfield field hockey car wash

The Greenfield field hockey team will hold its annual car wash this Saturday. 

The car wash will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Sunoco Station on the corner of Federal and Silver Street in Greenfield.
