I found the article about Bart’s Ice Cream to be somewhat disturbing, although not surprising, that the Secretary of State got involved in the financial exchange among family and friends. [“Barts Ice Cream ordered to pay fines, restitution,” Recorder, June 16].
It feels as if everything is now a game of semantics while seeking and furthering fines’ capacity as revenue.
