SOUTH DEERFIELD — Traffic was reduced to one lane Tuesday evening following a two-vehicle crash that led to a rollover on Routes 5 and 10 at the Mill Village Road intersection.
The Deerfield Police Department and South Deerfield Fire District responded at around 5 p.m. to the crash. American Medical Response (AMR) and South County EMS also responded.
South Deerfield firefighters arrived to find the driver of a red Ford trapped inside the vehicle after it had landed on its side, according to a Facebook post from the South Deerfield Fire District. After firefighters removed the windshield, the driver was able to get out. The driver was then transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton.
Additionally, the second involved vehicle, a black Chevrolet Malibu, suffered heavy front-end damage.
