The Recorder on April 14 quoted the School Committee member Susan Eckstrom as saying, “In our attempts to sustain our schools, our budget is cut yearly by a single person.”

Dare I say this but we live in a democratic republic and besides mob rule it also means elected officials, such as the mayor, have a job to do, i.e. present a budget for the whole city.

Again I point out that the legislation is now documented for its shortfall to funding anything in rural areas. So instead of publicly displaying “love of education and our dear children,” it is time to turn all this angst against Boston
