Just got done watching the mayor’s state of the city address. I don’t understand why she was bragging and patting herself on the back about the “lowest tax rate …?” Property assessments went up, on average, about $30,000 (mine, much more!) so tax bills went up. As a taxpayer, I am more concerned with what I actually end up “paying” vs. the tax “rate.” Who is she trying to fool? Herself?
