Historical Society trustee donates maps to library

BUCKLAND — Sue Roberts, a Buckland Historical Society trustee, donated reproductions of modern and historical maps of the town to the Buckland Public Library.

The collection consists of 19 maps dating from 1780 to 2005. The maps will be housed in the library on Upper Street for use in public research.

Transfer Station closed today

BUCKLAND — The Buckland Transfer Station on Hodgen Road will be closed Saturday, Feb. 4, due to the forecasted subzero temperatures and wind chills.

Information session planned regarding pocket park

BUCKLAND — Residents can learn about the bicycle-themed pocket park being planned for a 3,400-square-foot lot between Conway and Depot streets during an information session on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
