GREENFIELD — A man driving a Ford Escape crashed into the brick pillar near the entrance to Valley Medical Group’s Conway Street office shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The driver and one passenger were both transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, according to Fire Capt. Daniel Smith. He added that the injuries were likely not life-threatening.
Greenfield Building Inspector Nick Garmalo said the pillar will need to be repaired but not replaced. Visitors can still use the Valley Medical Group entrance safely.
When the SUV hit the pillar, both airbags deployed. Byrne Towing removed the vehicle.
