Crafts of Colrain pop-up shop coming to Buckland

BUCKLAND — Artists and artisans will bring their work to Wood & Barrel Co., located at 50 State St., on Saturday and Sunday for a Crafts of Colrain pop-up shop. The event will be outdoors under tents from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wilder Homestead to host Colonial Day

BUCKLAND — The Buckland Historical Society invites visitors to step into the past at the Wilder Homestead at 129 Ashfield Road and sample activities from the colonial era on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.

There will be open hearth cooking, oxen, weaving, spinning, music of the 1700s, cider pressing, Morris dancers and more. Admission is free.

Library hosting series of events

BUCKLAND — The Buckland Public Library will host a variety of special events over the next couple months.

Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m. — Story Time with Mr. Dave.

■Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m. — Mushroom walk. Meet at Mohawk Trail Regional School’s parking lot near the clay courts.

■Friday, Oct. 28, 6 p.m. — Speak Easy Poetry Open Mic. Featuring Candace Curran and Jody Stewart. Sign-up starts at 5:45 p.m.

■Tuesday, Nov. 15, 6:30 p.m. — Advance Directives Workshop. Attorney Susan Shauger will discuss both health care proxy and MOLST (Medical Order for Life Sustaining Treatment) forms. Forms will be available at the workshop.

The library is also hosting new recurring events.

Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. — Crafternoons. Bring your 3- to 11-year-old for crafts and stories. However, this age range is flexible.

■Every third Friday of the month, 5 to 7 p.m. — All Ages Game Night.
